Q&A video plus 100K subscriber giveaway. Watch the video to get to know me better and win a Vitamix blender and Zwilling Pro knife set.

Two and a half years ago I got this bee in my bonnet about creating recipe videos and tutorials. I thought it would be fun for you to see me (like, actually in front of the camera) rather than just see my hands in pans, shot overhead and moving at mach ten speed.

But it took a whole year just to muster up the nerve and put myself on camera. I’m way more shy and introverted than most of you imagine. So finally a year and a half ago I started my YouTube channel.

But here’s the thing. I didn’t know the first thing about YouTube and I’d never really watched YouTube or subscribed to any channels. I’d just pop on YouTube whenever I needed an answer to a very specific question. So needless to say, the last year and a half has been a wild and crazy ride, learning everything (and I do mean everything) about video production, video editing, color grading, audio, lighting and of course, building a community.

Well lo and behold, that community – you guys – have blown me away by surpassing over 100K subscribers on my YouTube channel! It’s amazing. And I couldn’t feel more grateful for your kindness, support and positivity. The Downshiftology community truly is something special.

So today, in celebration of reaching 100K subscribers I’m excited to answer many of your frequently asked questions and give away two awesome prizes – a Vitamix blender and a Zwilling Pro 12-piece knife set.

I hope you guys enjoy the video (and some of the personal photos scattered throughout) and get to know me a little bit better. And of course, don’t forget to enter the giveaway.

Much love – always. xo
